Privacy policy

1. Controller

The controller of personal data processed through this website is femonline.eu (the “operator”). You can reach the operator through the contact form in the calculator (✉ Contacts → Contact form) or by e-mail at [email protected].

2. In short

Your structural models are calculated entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to any server. The applications use no account, no cookies, and no analytics or advertising trackers. Personal data reaches the operator only when you send one of the two forms described in section 5.

3. Data stored in your browser

The applications keep the model you are working on, your settings (language, display and print preferences, interface size), your section library and whether you have already seen the updates invitation in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to anyone. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data of femonline.eu in your browser.

4. Share links

A share link carries the model in the part of the address after “#”, which browsers never send to a server. The model therefore reaches only the people you give the link to.

5. The updates form and the contact form

When you press Send in the updates form, your e-mail address and the topics you ticked are sent to the operator; when you send the contact form, your e-mail address, the topic and your message are sent. Both forms are delivered by e-mail through the form service Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which processes the data on the operator’s behalf.

Purpose and legal basis: informing you about new versions, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time; answering your message, on the basis of the operator’s legitimate interest in handling enquiries and your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Retention: the e-mail address for updates is kept until you unsubscribe — a short message through the contact form is enough. Contact messages are deleted once they are no longer needed, at the latest two years after the last exchange.

6. Hosting

The website is hosted by DigitalOcean (App Platform, EU region Frankfurt). To deliver the pages and to protect the service, the hosting provider processes the technical data of each request — IP address, time, requested address and browser identification — on the basis of the operator’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The operator does not use this data to identify visitors.

7. Recipients and transfers

Apart from the two processors named above, no data is passed on, sold or used for advertising. Where a processor handles data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer relies on the safeguards of the GDPR — an adequacy decision of the European Commission or its standard contractual clauses.

8. External links

The website links to the YouTube channel of the project. YouTube (Google) processes data only once you follow the link, under its own privacy policy.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access to your data, to its rectification or erasure, to restriction of processing, to object, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Write to the operator through the contact form in the calculator (✉ Contacts → Contact form) or by e-mail at [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

10. Changes

This policy is updated whenever the applications start handling data differently — before any such change takes effect. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
